Supply chain learning and performance: a meta-analysis

Purpose This paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain learning (SCL)–performance relationship based on existing empirical evidence. Design/methodology/approach We sampled 54 studies SCL–performance relationship. proposed conceptual research framework and adopted meta-analytical approach analyse Findings The results meta-analysis confirm positive effects SCL performance both firms chains. In addition, building knowledge-based view, we found that from customers has stronger effect than does suppliers, while joint absorptive learning. Business knowledge had greater did general knowledge, process or technical explicit tacit knowledge. Moreover, is moderated by measure industry type but not regional economic development, highlighting broad applicability SCL.
